Access Chapter 2 – We Belong Community Centre provides health services to LGBTI people, Men who have sex with Men (MSM), Women who have sex with women (WSW) and Youth in their diversity. In partnership with Department of Health and PEPFAR-Community Grants Programme and as part of a new health program in the City of Tshwane, we offer the following position:

Registered Nurse: A registered nurse will provide needed biomedical services on specified clinic days. It includes HTS, ART initiation, PEP and PrEP, screenings for STI’s and TB and behaviour change interventions, SRHR, HRT including overseeing the CCMDD.

Requirement: suitable nursing qualification, must be in possession of a dispensing certificate and be able to dispense and prescribe medicines , and 3-5 years relevant experience, NIMART trained, and has experience working with Key Populations.

Position: Community Outreach Worker

Eastern Cape (Nelson Mandela Bay)

Purpose of the position

To lead and facilitate discussions and dialogues, briefings on program activities and drive community awareness programs.

To provide outreach activities to key populations within the areas of the organisation is operating.

Key performance areas

Lead facilitation of discussions/dialogues, briefings on program activities, and community awareness programs.

Provides strategic input and feedback to the M&E Coordinator in order to report to the PR (AFSA) on the implementation of KP programs.

Community Mobilizations.

Lead Community Based Monitoring activities.

The Candidate will report directly to the Project Manager.

Required experience and skills

Ability to communicate in English and main language(s) spoken in Nelson Mandela Bay District.

Experience in working with vulnerable /key or hard to reach populations (TG, AGYW, and MSM).

Experience organising community-based events /activities.

Good knowledge of TB/HIV&AIDS.

Ability to work with people of all background. Suitably experienced candidates will be persons openly living with HIV, adolescent girls and young women (AGYW); and transgender (TG) persons.

Good interpersonal skills.

Friendly and welcoming attitude.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Deadline driven.

Knowledge of the Nelson Mandela Bay district and community resources in the district.

Required qualifications

Matric /Grade 12 certificate.

Position: Project Manager and Reporting Administrator

Tshwane

Purpose of the position

To coordinate the collection and documentation of both quantitative and qualitative data,

To produce comprehensive narrative reports on programme performance and community interventions.

To communicate with the Gert Sibande District Community Outreach Worker and the Nelson Mandela Community Outreach Worker.

To report to the Organisation’s M&E Coordinator on the overall progression of the project.

Key performance areas

The incumbent will work closely with the Community Outreach Workers to ensure that appropriate services delivered are captured, validated and reported in line with Global Fund (GF) reporting requirements. S/he will ensure that the M&E systems and data management processes are adequately implemented to ensure accurate, quality and timely reporting of services rendered.

Will ensure that correct tools are used and that staff members are trained on all data collection tools.

  • Facilitate and support the coordination of programme interventions including identifying optimal linkages across activities and programme outputs
  • Facilitate and administer beneficiary service satisfactory surveys/score cards
  • Produce reports: Narrative reports.
  • Support M&E activities throughout the organisation.
  • Support target-setting for key programme elements.
  • Support programme staff align activities with project goals and targets.
  • Reports to the M&E Coordinator.
Required skills and competencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience in project management, research design and publications.
  • Ability to take initiatives.
  • Transcribing experience.
  • Data-verification and data-cleaning experience.
  • Knowledge to both research approaches, quantitative and qualitative.
  • A team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills; effective time management and coordination skills and highly meticulous with attention to detail.
  • Experience working with community development /health teams and youth.
  • Demonstrate understanding of data sensitivity /data protection /confidentiality.
  • Recommended: valid driver’s license; ability and willingness to drive.
Qualifications, minimum requirements

Matric /grade 12.

Post matric certificate related to project management, qualitative and quantitative research.

2 – 3 years’ experience on research project management.

Competent in Microsoft Office suite.

Knowledge on research data analysis software an advantage.

Good writing skills. Command of local languages.
